Library Support
Our library values access, inquiry, literacy, collaboration, privacy, and equity. We support staff and students by connecting them with high-quality resources and instruction to enhance their learning.
We provide the following services to support learning:
- Instruction - Students learn how to responsibly use and evaluate resources, information, and technology tools.
- Access to resources - Students check out library books or access digital resources that meet their academic needs or help them explore their interests.
- Reader’s Advisory - Get suggestions for which book to read next, or which resources to use for a project.

Library Mission Statement
The Cary Elementary School Media Center’s mission is to encourage, promote, and assist students and teachers in becoming effective and discriminating users of ideas and information, and to foster the use of the library for lifelong learning. It is our goal that students and teachers:
- Effectively use instructional materials
- Enrich and support all areas of the curriculum
- Provide informational, cultural, and recreational materials, allowing for the presentation of many different points of view.
- Effectively use different types of media as a tool for learning to navigate and evaluate materials.
