Painless Participation

This page is designed to give you information on ways that you can help out our school without lifting a finger (or at least, with minimal effort). There are many organizations that will make donations to Cary Elementary as a result of you doing something that you might normally do anyway, like shopping. Check out all the low-stress ways you can help out our school.

Box Tops for Education

The Box Tops for Education program provides money for the school to use in support of its educational programs. Each Box Tops for Education logo that you cut from the package of a General Mills product can be redeemed by Cary Elementary for ten cents, to be spent on supplies for the school. This program provides several hundred dollars each year, and could provide much more.

You buy cereal, snacks, cake mixes, plastic wrap, and lot of other things, right. Well, check out the list of Box Tops Products Clip the Box Tops coupon, have your kid give it to the teacher, and Cary Elementary gets 10 cents.

Box Tops Marketplace also has an on-line shopping network with dozens of well-known stores. Order anything on-line from these stores, and Cary Elementary gets a percentage of your purchase. These are not little-known places either: Barnes and Noble, Eddie Bauer, any Gap store, Hallmark Cards, Home Depot, J.C. Penney, Kohl's, Target, Land's End, Old Navy, Office Max, and Wal-Mart, just to name a few. This works for on-line purchases ONLY, so check out the complete list at The Box Tops Home Page.

Food Lion Shop and Share

If you have a Food Lion MVP card, you can link it to Cary Elementary and a percentage of your purchases will come to the school. To link your card, go to the Food Lion Shop and Share Page. (And don't forget to buy items with the Box Tops for Education logo - that helps us twice!)

Target Take Charge of Education

If you have a Target 'RedCard' charge card, you can register Cary Elementary as your Take Charge of Education recipient and 1% of all your RedCard purchases will be sent to Cary Elementary. Target has given over $200 million to schools through this program. To register CES as your RedCard recipient, go to The Target Take Charge of Education Page.

Expand Your Network

You don't have to be the parent of a Cary Elementary student to help us out through these programs. Talk to your parents, friends, in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins! Ask them to take advantage of these programs and help out your kids.

If you know of other painless ways that CES can use, please contact Kelly Harris at 650-1628.
