The Wake County Public School System has mandated that all volunteers in any capacity (classroom, media, book stop, field trips, etc.) be registered in its volunteer database before performing any volunteer activities. This will make our school environment even more safe for our students, staff, and parents. You may register in the Cary Elementary School Media Center Mondays between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. For many activities (such as chaperoning field trips, tutoring, etc.), a background check is required. This is done by WCPSS at no charge to you, but you will need to provide your driver's license number and addresses for your home residences for the past seven years.
